Much of Andrew’s work examines the extraordinary lives of ordinary people. His plays are grounded in realism, with poetic language, and a hint of the supernatural and magic. He’s passionate about telling stories which privilege a Black lens, create more lead roles for Black actors, and add more Black narratives to the American theatre canon.
